There is a place that you can see all the geography details of Goreme.  It seems like a giant rock reaching in the sky. If you are not in a plane or a balloon, you may never see the region in details, Uchisar Castle Cappadocia. It also has one of the most chosen walking paths of Cappadocia going right through Pigeon Valley.



Everybody  should roam through the tunnels while listening to the pigeons flapping their wings as they leave their nest. Knowing that they were sculpted by no one but the nature itself amazes the visitors. Today, the castle is surrounded by shops. They sell many souvenirs such as carpets, marble ornaments, dried nuts and fruits keeping you company.

How To Get To Uchisar Cappadocia?

There are several ways to get to Uchisar, a town located in the Cappadocia region of Turkey:

By plane: The nearest airport to Uchisar is NevÅŸehir Kapadokya Airport, which is located about 50 km from the town. From the airport, you can take a taxi or arrange for a private transfer to get to Uchisar.

By bus: There are frequent bus services from major cities in Turkey to Uchisar. The journey takes around 7 hours from Istanbul and 4 hours from Ankara, depending on the route and the number of stops.

By car: If you are driving to Uchisar, you can reach the town by taking the E80/D800 highway from Istanbul or the E90/D300 highway from Ankara. The journey takes around 8 hours from Istanbul and 5 hours from Ankara, depending on the route and the traffic. If you are into the city, here is the link of google maps.

By train: There are also a few daily train services from Istanbul and Ankara to Uchisar. The journey takes around 11 hours from Istanbul and 7 hours from Ankara.
